South Tees Joint Strategic Needs Assessment

The Joint Strategic Needs Assessment (JSNA) has been published by South Tees Health and Wellbeing Board.

What is the JSNA?

The JSNA looks at the physical and mental health needs of people living in South Tees (Middlesbrough and Redcar & Cleveland). It helps to plan and commission local health, wellbeing, and care services which meet residents' needs.

We know that people's circumstances have an impact on their health and wellbeing. For example, things like housing, poverty, and employment. The JSNA looks at these circumstances, and what effect they have on our residents. The 21 sections of the JSNA cover the whole life-course, from birth to death.

It's a statutory requirement for councils and Integrated Care Boards to produce a JSNA. The South Tees Health and Wellbeing Board has produced this JSNA, on behalf of Middlesbrough Council, North East and North Cumbria Integrated Care Board, and Redcar & Cleveland Council.
