Date for your diary: UK Recovery Walk comes to Middlesbrough
On Saturday 7 September 2019, Middlesbrough will host a national celebration of recovery, a public parade that ‘puts a positive face on recovery’. Following the walk there will be a free festival consisting of live bands, children’s activities, market place, food vendors and much more. It is hoped up to 10,000 people may attend.
Hosted by FAVOR UK, the walk will be funded entirely through sponsorship, donations and small grants. So donations in kind are very welcome (such as Portaloo’s, marquees, marketing, graphic design, event management, children’s entertainment, volunteering time etc.) If you or your organisation could contribute please contact Recovery Connections.
To give you an idea of what the day will look like, click here to view the official video from the Blackpool Walk in 2017.
If you are part of a voluntary or health and social care organisation and are interested in applying for a stall at the walk, you can download and complete a form here. Please send completed forms to firstname.lastname@example.org
