We are here to support, promote and develop voluntary and community action in Middlesbrough

£500 grant to talk about setting up Family Hubs

Do you support parents and/or carers in Middlesbrough? If so, we need your help, and a £500 grant is available to 20 groups and organisations who participate!

MVDA is working in partnership with Middlesbrough Council and Lincoln University on the development of Family Hubs.

We are keen to chat with parents and/or carers in Middlesbrough and are especially interested in engaging parents/carers with children aged 0-2 (parents/carers of older children are welcome).

We are asking local groups and organisations to help us do this, so we can chat about the Family Hubs and how local people can help shape the future development of the Hubs.  We are offering a grant of £500 to each organisation that participates.

What are Family Hubs?

They are part of the government’s plans to join up support services for families across England.  Family Hubs will support families from pregnancy, through a child’s early years until they reach adulthood.

There are six Family Hubs in Middlesbrough:

  • Abingdon
  • Hemlington
  • North Ormesby (outreach)
  • Park End
  • Thorntree
  • West Middlesbrough

If your group/organisation supports parents and/or carers and you would like to get involved, please contact Neil Craig via email at Neil.craig@mvdauk.org.uk or by telephone on 0749 2091646.
