We are here to support, promote and develop voluntary and community action in Middlesbrough

Voices for Volunteer Co-ordinators Forum

Voices for Volunteer Co-ordinators Forum

MVDA along with  RCVDA are holding our next Voices for Volunteer Co-ordinators forum on Thursday, 2 May between 10 and 12 at St.Mary's Centre Middlesbrough.

The topic for discussion is Social Media and alternative models of volunteering. We have a guest speaker Victoria Sauron from non-profit, digital skills organisation GreentreeOnline who will facilitate this session. GreentreeOnline provides web, social media and digital skills training and mentoring and digital problem solving for small businesses, community groups and individuals.

At this session, Victoria will talk about Instagram and Facebook, whether your organisation should be on it and how best to use it for community development and volunteer management. Victoria will also talk about accessible workplaces and alternative models of volunteering, such as remote or online solutions, to help include people for whom it's difficult to leave the house. Victoria is an autistic business owner with some experience of managing autistic volunteers so will talk about how to best support autistic people at work.

We welcome you to join us to share information, discuss good practice and network.

If you would like to cancel, please contact us before 1 May 2019 - 8:30am.
