Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates those working with children and families when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement.
A child of children Under 18 dies every 22 minutes in the UK; Around 23.600 a year. This equates to around 111 children being bereaved of a parent every day. Many more experience the death of a grandparent or other significant person.
Grief is impactful, both on those who have been bereaved and those of us who are supporting the bereaved children and families. As part of the North Development Project, we are offering a free bereavement awareness session, to explore grief, it’s impact and ways in which we can support others, whilst also taking care of ourselves.
This awareness session is open to all voluntary and community organisations operating in Middlesbrough.
If you would like to cancel, please contact us before 19 May 2018 - 4:30pm.
